I am a mom of 3 children (2 girls and a little boy all under the age of 9), a dog, cat and 7 ducks! Life is busy LOL!..... but I wouldn't have it any other way. As a mom I am always looking for new things to do with my kids.... something fun for the numerous birthdays, holidays, school parties and bake sales......................... the list goes!!!
After watching an episode of Martha Stewart a couple of years ago I learned about Cupcake Pops. I made them for my kids and they LOVED them and so did all their friends! After making them a few times I realized what I needed was a CUPCAKE POP MOLD.
What started out as just trying to make something my kids loved in the easiest way possible turned into something I thought others might be able to use as well.
If you are looking for something new and different to do with your kids o for the kid in YOU this is a NO BAKE, SIMPLE to use and OH SO MUCH FUN project.............. It's Yummilicious Guaranteed!!!

Q. Why does the candy crack on the outside?
A. The dough is too cold when dipping. Either the dough was frozen previously or refrigerated too long.
Q. Can I freeze the dough?
A. This is not advisable as it will create problems later on in dipping.
Q. Why aren't I getting a good shape?
A. This usually happens for one of two reasons. Either the dough was not chilled long enough or the consistency of the dough is too soft or too hard. The best consistency should be similar to soft playdough.
Q. How should I store my cupcake pops?
A. I recommend in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Q. Why does the paper stick turn yellow?
A. Eventually the paper from the lollipop stick will absorb the oils in the cream cheese and cookies. This process can be halted to an extent by refrigerating
Q. How come the candy wafers are falling off my cupcake pop?
A. Melted candy wafers are probably too hot. After melting candy wafers wait a few minutes so that the candy is melted but not hot. A too warm kitchen can also create problems. Also chilling your cupcake pops will help the candy melts harden faster.
Q. How come my candy wafers are so thick even after melting them.
A. Candy wafers can be tempermental. Sometimes they are too runny and sometimes they don't run at all and stay very thick. When they are thick add some shortening to them. I always have crisco nearby. Adding a little bit of this to the candy melts will help the consistency.
Q. How come the cupcake pop is falling off the stick?
A. The consitency of the dough is either too soft (possibly too much cream cheese or butter) or too warm.
Q. What can I use if I don't have a styrofoam board for holding my cupcake pops?
A. A cup filled with sugar can be used as well.
Q. How long can they be kept out of the refrigerator?
A. I do not have a scientific answer for this but I would say you would be safe to say a few hours. I have eaten mine after a day but I don't recommend this, but a few hours for a party should be fine.
Q. How come I am having such a hard time decorating my cupcake pops?
A. Like everything in life there is a learning curve. I suggest having fun with it and keep trying. Each time you will get better and better and they taste great even if they don't look perfect!
Q. What is the best way to remove my cupcake from the mold?
A. I suggest taking them out from the top. It is o.k. if the top of the cupcake pop gets smashed. I have included in my design that the top part of the cupcake can be pressed down without ruining the overall look of the finished cupcake pop after decorating. So start from the top and use your finger to gently press out the cupcake.
